Learn to Sail & Earn Your American Sailing Keelboat 1 Certification!
Ready to finally learn how to sail? Earn your American Sailing Keelboat 1 Certification with hands-on sailing lessons in Orlando, taught by certified instructors at Lake Fairview Marina. This comprehensive 15-hour course is designed for beginners and covers everything from sailboat handling and safety to knot tying, docking, and sailing terminology.
Lessons take place over two or three days aboard a Com-Pac 16 or Com-Pac 23—perfect for learning the ropes on a small keelboat. Upon completion, you’ll become a more confident sailor and receive an official American Sailing certification, recognized at sailing schools and charter companies across the country.
Classes run seasonally October through May.

Group Classes start at $475 per person. Classes hold up to 4 students. Book a private class for $1,000 for up to 2 people. ($400 for each additional student)

Do you want to learn the basics of sailing but aren’t quite ready to commit to formal sailing training? Not to worry! Signing up for a day sail with Sailing Orlando is a great way to get a taste of sailing. Join us for a 2-hour private day sail with an experienced sailor aboard our 25-foot MacGregor sailboat.
Learn some of the fundamentals of sailing while having a fun day on the water! Guests can participate as little or as much as they want, whether it’s to help trim the sails or to take the helm.
